Who hasn't tried Starbuck's London Fog Tea Latte and wanted to recreate it at home for half the price?
It's absolutely the best idea for a stay-at-home night. A night for cuddling in your blanket and chilling in front of your laptop or chatting with a close friend. Sip and chill the night away. Here's my recipe to help you get there! Make sure to get your couch ready and laptop charged. This doesn't take long at all! Cheers!
The ingredients are super simple. To begin you will need:
1-2 Earl Grey Tea Bags (Harney & Sons is my favorite)
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Milk (whatever your preference will be ok, I prefer Lactaid 2% Milk)
1 Tablespoon Sugar (I use Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener)
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 Teaspoon Dried lavender ( I use Lavende Sur Terre)
For tools you will need:
Frother ( I use the Bodum Milk Frother. It's easier than the hand held one, and makes me feel like a barista pro!)
Prep Time Steepage Time Total Time 2 mins 5 mins 7 mins
Place the earl grey and lavender in the tea pot with a removable infuser.
Add the boiling water and allow it tea to steep for 5 minutes.
While the tea is steeping, froth the milk until it doubles in size and is super foamy.
Remove the strainer, and add the vanilla extract and/or sweeten the tea.
Pour the milk and froth over the hot tea and stir gently.
Add some dried lavender on top! And enjoy!
